== Screen reader ==

Nintendo's built-in screen reader is called Text to Speech.

* Press the home button.
* Go to the bottom row. You will know when you have reached the bottom and can go no further when you here a thunk sound that sounds different from the other menu navigation sounds.
* Hold the right joystick or right cursor until you reach the end of the menu, then move over one option to the left. You will know you have reached the very right side when the click sounds stop. Be sure to hold the right joystick or cursor, as the menu raps back around to the left side if you press the right joystick or cursor once.
* Press the A button to enter the System Settings. You will know when you enter the system settings by the sound it makes, (it sounds like a ratchet turning, or several loud, distinctive clicking sounds in quick succession, if you are unsure what a ratchet is).
* Hold up until you have reached the top of the settings window. You can also press up multiple times to reach the top, as this menu does not rap around.
* Go down 6 times, then press A to enter the Accessibility Settings.
* Hold up until you have reached the top.
* Go down 8 times, then press A to enable Text to Speech.

As you navigate the console, the screen reader will explain interface elements, such as lists.
